THE RIVER OF EDEN

The River of Eden is a mystery but yet, a revelation of God's Kingdom strategy to us. In ancient times, streams were one of the major sources of water for daily living. This was so because they were easier to access since they were closer to settlements. These stream were outlets from a river and some streams traveled miles away from the river. Usually, It would take a longer time and more energy to get water from the main source. The River is a representation of God, Water is a representation of God's word and the streams are a representation of Earthly vessels(men). These streams are men we drink from (e.g Pastors, Mentors, Teachers etc) and they all play a vital role in providing easy access to water. God is using these streams to reach far and hidden places that have no access to water. However, just like in ancient times, many of us have settled for streams and we rarely go back to the river. You might ask, "What's the point of going back to the river if I can always get water easily from the streams around me?". Here are some reasons why we all need to go back to the river (our source, God);

1) The best you can get from a man is a byproduct of that which he has received: Rarely will you find a man who is able to deliver all that God has deposited in him. Even physical thermodynamics explains to us that the transfer of energy is usually not 100% efficient i.e. the total amount of useful energy output of an isolated system is never equal to the total energy input. This is because some of the input energy will be lost as dispersed heat as it is processed (There will always be energy lost to the surroundings and energy lost due to friction)

Don't be deceived to think that you've seen all that a man represents just by sitting under his ministration. All that he delivers is just a portion of his substance.

2) You're limited to a byproduct of only that which that man has received from God; If there is 100% of water in the river and let's say 30% flows in, that means you will never have access to the remaining 70% in the main source.

3) The quality of water from streams will always be subject to the beginning of the stream; For example, let's say I put a dead animal at the head of the stream, the stench and blood of the animal will definitely mix with the water flowing down. The vessel that the word is coming from will definitely have an impact on it. This is called the "Human factor". Thus, if that vessel has sin and filth in him, the message will carry the corruption along with it.

We all must return to our source if we will fulfill purpose. Many today are a replica of public figures and having no uniqueness/Novelty. We can only Multiply/reproduce the seed we have received and by "seed" I mean the inspiration that fuels your action. Most times we get that inspiration from the streams around us. Although this is not wrong, the issue with it is that you will always be limited by that stream. When last did you receive your seed (Inspiration) from God? The purpose of God for every man is as unique as our DNA. Never the same for any two people. There is an inspiration you need for the fulfilment of the part of your purpose that is unique to you. Don't limit yourself by the stream accessible to you. Go to the main river. That river is the presence of the Lord where all streams proceed from. God is calling our generation to come back to the source. The Patriarchs and Saints of old could do great exploits because they drank directly from the source. They never had a megacrusade, no recorded messages, no annual conference and no mentorship programs but still, they did great exploits. Why? They drank directly from the source. We all must once again make fellowshipping with the Lord a priority. There is a generation of them that seek him and it is this generation that will fulfil divine mandate and make trans generational impact. Will we be that generation?
