PRAYER STORM

 

For many in charismatic circles and old time churches it is no new news that revival is coming and that this revival will ride on the wings of prayers. We have heard it preached so many times we can almost recite them. Books have been written, songs have been sung and countless conferences held. Nevertheless, many Christians still struggle to be consistent in prayers. How is it possible that though we know that the revival that we are all thirsty for will never come to be without the prayers of the saints, we find ourselves incapable of consistency in this priestly role?

As the Holy Spirit brooded upon these in my heart, I've received a burden to organize a prayer challenge aimed at helping people overcome Inconsistency in prayer and spiritual lukewarmness. I have come to find that many struggle in this area and are desperate for help. 

Even those that were once vibrant and committed while in campus fellowship after becoming cumbered with various temptations and the problems and cares of life (how to make money, settling down and taking care of their family, meeting daily needs, a tedious job etc.)  gradually become lukewarm until they become totally cold and merely religious. 

The prayer challenge is tagged Prayer storm and it will be a 62 days journey of prayers and teaching. The goals of this challenge includes;

1) Overcoming Spiritual Lukewarmness

2) Achieving consistency in Prayer and

3) Partnering with the Holy Spirit in Intercession.

It is my earnest expectation that this prayer challenge will be an instrument in the hands of the Lord to fan the fires of revival to flames as he raises his end time army in these last days.
